Developing vaccines isn’t enough; they have to be available where they are needed most

MVI works to ensure that malaria vaccines are made available to those who need them. Our activities include:

• Partnering with developing country manufacturers to reduce costs. We investigate options for manufacturing malaria vaccines in industrializing countries.
• Ensuring financing of effective vaccines. We work to mobilize the financial resources needed to develop and make available malaria vaccines through a comprehensive program of research, advocacy, and communications.
• Considering practical aspects of vaccine supply, approval, and use during clinical development. We develop target product profiles to guide the vaccine development process, ensuring that the vaccines developed will meet the needs of endemic countries.
